Dylan Beveridge wins Tasmanian Title

February 8th 2020

With an action packed night of racing coming to an end Dylan Beveridge was successful in winning his first Tasmanian Title.

Carrick Speedway delivered as always providing a fast track for the drivers to get their elbows out with some great side by side battles throughout the night. Nick Kingston was able to come home 2nd with his usual great form followed up by Taylor Johhson in 3rd, and Ricki Hall in 4th.

Well done to the top 4 and to all the drivers who came out for what was a great night racing.

2021 Australian Formula 500 Title set to return to Tasmania

December 21st, 2019

For the first time in 8 years Tasmania will host the Australian Formula 500 Title on the 2nd & 3rd of April 2021.

Latrobe Speedway will host the event which is going to be a huge event for not just the club but for speedway fans everywhere. With generous prize money on offer as well as the #A1 it will surely attract a large number of drivers from all across the country.

Tasmanias Jock Goodyer is currently the #A1 after a dominating win in December 2019 and you would think he will be back to defend his title at home, but it wont be easy. There is plenty of competition here in Tas let alone the big names that will surely make the trip down for this huge event.

More information about the event will be posted on the page as it becomes available, along with entry forms and supp regs so keep an eye on the page for that information as it becomes available.

Tasmanian Jock Goodyer claims the 2019/20 Australian Title

December 2019

Local driver Jock Goodyer has been making news lately for all the right reasons. Not only has he stepped up and proved he is a real contender in the Sprintcar, he has jumped back into the Formula 500 and claimed the Australian Title. A direct quote from his Facebook racing page (Jock Goodyer Racing) reads:

ITS COMING BACK TO TASSIE! 🏆 AUS 1

After coming so agonisingly close before, last night we sealed the deal and got that title win we wanted.

A full credit to my boys for the rocket ship they gave me the entire weekend, I could not have done it with out them and am grateful for all the hard work they put in.

To mum & dad to consistently give me the opportunity I’m presented with is one in a million and I’ll be forever grateful"
